Maitland City Council offers reward for information leading to a conviction

Maitland City Council offers a $3,000 reward for information leading to conviction for damage caused to the Maitland BMX track.

It appears a vehicle has crashed through the fencing and attempted to do the course in a motor vehicle causing substantial damage to the track.

Although Maitland Council owns the BMX track it is maintained by dedicated volunteers who are fed up with the track being vanalised by thugs.

The BMX volunteers posted to there Facebook page two days ago.

Sometime after we closed the track last night , some lovely community members decided it would be a great idea to drive a car on the track.

This has caused damage to the track and surrounds. If anyone has any information please let the club or the police know .
Please share this post around so hopefully we find who did this.

Deputy Mayor Penfold announced on his Facebook page tonight that a $3,000 reward has been posted by MCC for information that leads to a conviction.
