SMOKE haze over the Hunter Valley set to continue over the next week

With over 70 active fires burning across NSW the Hunter Valley has been inidated with smoke from the fires burning north of Hunter Valley the fires are burning in the area of Lake Innes and Lake Cathie, south of Port Macquarie, which has burnt more than 2000 hectares of bushland.

Firefighters expect these fires will continue to burn over the coming weekend and early next week as the warm weather continues

Authorities are warning people to stay indoors as the air quality is set to dractisly worsen over the next coming days.
