Man left critical after knife fight – Woy Woy

A man has been charged after another man was allegedly stabbed on the Central Coast overnight.

Police have been told that a group of people were socialising in the Woy Woy area when a physical altercation began between two men, aged 33 and 35, on the corner of The Boulevarde and Brick Wharf Road.

Officers from Brisbane Water Police District attended and located the 33-year-old with serious injuries.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was taken to Gosford Hospital in a critical condition.

The 35 year old man was also located and taken to Gosford hospital under police guard where he was treated for hand and facial injuries in a stable condition.

Upon release, the 35-year-old man was escorted to Gosford Police station and charged with wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail 

The 33-year-old man remains in hospital and now in stable condition.
