AstraZeneca to continue phase three trails after volunteer dies in Brazil

The AstraZeneca vaccine trail will continue after a Brillizian volunteer has reportedly died, its unclear weather the volunteer was given the vaccine or the placeebo. However a Brillizian newspaper is reporting the volunteer was given the placeebo but could not sight a source.

The regulator said testing of the vaccine would go forward after the volunteer’s death. It offered no further details, citing medical confidentiality of those involved in the trials.

Oxford confirmed the plan to keep testing, saying in a statement that after careful assessment “there have been no concerns about safety of the clinical trial.”

Phase three trails in the US have been on hold since September after a UK patient became seriously ill.
