In a coordinated effort involving Singleton Fire & Rescue, Branxton Fire & Rescue, Singleton Police, Hunter Valley Highway Patrol, Singleton Ambulance, Singleton Ambulance Rescue, NSW RMS, and multiple NSWRFS units, emergency services swiftly responded to a collision involving two semi-trucks on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024, at 18:20hrs.
Upon arrival, responders found both drivers safely outside their vehicles, but a significant fuel spillage from one truck’s tank was evident on the road. Remarkably, neither truck was carrying cargo at the time of the accident.
Utilizing specialized HAZMAT equipment, Fire + Rescue teams worked diligently to secure the area and contain the spill, receiving support from NSWRFS firefighters.
