Dark day for democracy as Facebook De Platform Stuart Bonds

Big Tech has whacked our great democracy by interfering with our elections right here in the Hunter and it’s hard to believe, but it has happened. Today a Hunter, candidate was censored, silenced and gagged by Facebook on unknown legal grounds, with no way to appeal the decision or any due legal process. Stuart Bonds has committed no crimes and still hold a firearms license, so what law has Facebook deemed he has broken? We don’t know, maybe tomorrow local Hunter Police might catch up with Mr Bonds and explain it to him.

Stuart Bonds yesterday launch his campaign as an independent to only find he’s been locked out of social media pages with around 3.5k followers after having to start over with his messy split from One Nation.

Stuart Bonds page has only been banned in Australia and can be viewed from overseas or with a VPN service, the page which has no strikes and has only been fact checked once, which was deemed party true by Facebooks opinion based fact checkers and one popular image of a lockdown protest had been covered with a sensitivity cover, this image and video had be widely shared on social media

It seems the content of the page is not the issue, but rather Stuart Bonds the person is the problem, Facebook have not informed Staurt of the nature of the legal request or whom made this request to Facebook, leaving everyone guessing.

The one thing we do know is Stuart Bonds is a clear threat to the Major Parties in the seat of Hunter, Stuart received 21% of first preference votes in the 2019 election when he ran with Pauline Hansons One Nation.

However, past results with another a party are not necessarily a reliable indication of future performance as an independent.

Mr Bonds said he has had a worse start than the leader of the opposition who has made a huge blunder on day one of his campaign by not knowing key facts that the leader should know in an interview with Chriscoveries on a Facebook live interview. You can find that interview here

New laws must be introduced by the incoming Government to protect our great democracy from Big Tec censorship, everyone has a right to have their voices heard and debate ideas good or bad, Big Tech is the greatest threat to our democratic rights and freedoms of our great nation.
