Elton John has announced he is quitting twitter, sighting policy changes which allow people to challenge the narrative or in simple terms he does not like free speech.
In a twitter post Elton John wrote
“All my life I’ve tried to use music to bring people together. Yet it saddens me to see how misinformation is now being used to divide our world.
I’ve decided to no longer use Twitter, given their recent change in policy which will allow misinformation to flourish unchecked.”
10 hours after making this announcement his account is still active on twitter.
New owner Elon Musk replied
“I love your music. Hope you come back. Is there any misinformation in particular that you’re concerned about?”
To which Elton John has not replied at the time if writing of this article, perhaps he has stopped using Twitter
