Tragic Parachuting Incident Claims Life in Western NSW
In a somber update from the states west, a man lost his life today in a parachuting accident. Emergency services rushed to Mount Borah Wimborne Road, Wimborne, around 12 pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, after receiving distressing reports of a man impacting heavily on the ground.
Despite the prompt response from NSW Ambulance paramedics, the victim could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene. Oxley Police District officials have cordoned off the area, treating it as a crime scene, while investigations into the incident are ongoing.
Authorities have seized the man’s parachute and equipment for further examination, and a comprehensive report will be prepared to assist the Coroner in understanding the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
