I did my best, it took 10 minutes for an ambulance to arrive.

A young man has described the horror scene he walked into at Beresfield Train Station last night.

The young man found the 39-year-old man who had been seriously assaulted earlier by a 27-year-old man.

The young man said in a post on Facebook

“I arrived at the scene and saw this man laying there unconscious and bleeding with his face down, i called 000 for an ambulance”

The 000 operator instructed the young man to begin chest compression, An employee at the train station assisted the man by applying pressure to man head wounds.

“It took 10 minutes from when i called 000 for an ambulance or police to arrive” the young man said.

He also stated some people did not help when he asked them for help, eventually another lady came to his aide to help with chest compression.

“I wish there was more i could’ve done but he was in a bad way, may he rest in peace.” Said the young man.

Unfortunately the 39-year-old man was declared dead by emergency services a short time later.

Police arrested a 27-year-old man a short time later where he is expected to be charged today.
