Kurri Kurri’s Nostalgia Festival to return in 2022

Cessnock City Council is delighted to announce it will again support Kurri Kurri’s Nostalgia Festival, following a resolution at Wednesday night’s ordinary council meeting.

The festival organiser Towns With Heart will be provided with $10,400 in-kind support for the nationally famous festival, which celebrates all things rock’n’roll, automotive, musical and fashionable from yesteryear.

Cessnock City Council will provide waste management, park management, and amenity management over the weekend of March 26-27, 2022, when the festival is held.

Cessnock City Council Mayor Jay Suvaal said Council wanted to support community-based initiatives like the Nostalgia Festival because they contribute so much to the local government area.

“This festival is one of a kind and attracts people from across the entire region as well as from across the whole country,” Mayor Suvaal said.

“Not only is it a fun weekend, it provides an important boost for local businesses injecting as much as $3million into our local economy each year.”
