Drivers in New South Wales have been warned that time is running out to renew their licenses at a discounted rate under the Fair Go for Safe Drivers Scheme.
The scheme, which offers a 50% discount on one-year, three-year, five-year and 10-year renewals, is set to end on February 17.
To be eligible for the discount, drivers must have held their license for at least five years and have no demerit points, drink driving offences or major convictions.
The Fair Go for Safe Drivers Scheme was introduced in 2018 to reward safe drivers and encourage them to stay on the road.
“We want to make sure that safe drivers are rewarded for their good behaviour,” a spokesperson for the Roads and Maritime Services said.
“The Fair Go for Safe Drivers Scheme is a great way to save money on your license renewal, and it also helps to make our roads safer.”
Drivers can renew their licenses online, over the phone or at any Service NSW center.
