A 65-year-old man has died and another man has been injured in motorcycle side car crash at the Liddell Speedway near Muswellbrook overnight.
The crash happened around 7pm when the rider of the motorcycle with a side car lost control and crashed into the barrier.
The 65-year-old man died at the scene and the rider suffered a horrendous lower leg injury.
The rider was treated at the scene and flown to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.
The Hunter Valley Police District is invesgating the circumstances that lead to the fatal crash.
