Emergency services were called to a single vehicle crash near Cessnock around mid-night after a car collided with a pole at heddon St Bellbird.
Upon arrival emergency services found an injuired man in his 30’s on ground near the scene of the crash.
The Westpac rescue helicopter was called to assist and landed at Carmichael Over nearby, but was stood down and the patient was transported to John Hunter Hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition.
