Nationals Candidate Josh Angus says Fitzgibbon should resign.

The seat for the Hunter is heating up like we have never seen before with climate policy the number one issue. Labor has commitment to Net Zero Emissions by 2050 which is the greatest threat the coal mining industry in the Hunter region has ever seen.

The Nationals Candidate Josh Angus says Labors climate policy will be destructive to tens of thousands of families and small business across Hunter.

Josh Angus also called for Joel Fitzgibbion to resign with what dignity he has left before the labor ships sinks.

Joel Fitzgibbion recently said in debate with Stuart Bonds the One Nations Candidate hosted by Alan Jones on Sky News that labors climate policy would not impact the coal industry here in the Hunter.

Alan Jones was quick call Mr Fitzgibbions out on his claim he said “That’s just nonsense Joel” either Joel does not understand what Net Zero means or the labor party has no intention of sticking to it.

The Climate Councils says that coal and gas must be phased out rapidly to achieve Net Zero Emissions.

“To meet the goal of net zero, new emissions of greenhouse gas must be as low as possible. This means that we need to rapidly phase out fossil fuels – coal, oil and gas – and transition to renewable energy.”
