With daily school closures across NSW the government has now released new strict guidelines for Covid safe schools even though we have been told from the beginning schools are safe.

New Guidelines for NSW Government schools will in place for the rest of term three. These include:
- Interschool activities are restricted to stay within the school zone.
- All activities that involve group singing, chanting or the use of woodwind instruments should cease.
- Social activities including formals or dances should not be held.
- Parents, carers and other non-essential visitors should not be allowed on the school site.
- Year 11 and 12 students completing HSC subjects may continue to attend classes or activities relating to subjects only available on other campuses. TAFE and other Vet programs may also continue.
- Only providers that are essential to the delivery of the curriculum should continue to provide services and programs.
- Where possible, students will stay within their relevant cohort group (i.e. class, year group, or stage) for all learning activities within their school in order to limit close contact to the relevant student cohort.
