The LNP party room has elected Dominic Perrottet as Premier of NSW in a secret ballot this morning. Rob Stokes had put his hat in the ring for the top job but lost a party room vote to Dominic Perrottet.
The party room election came after Gladys Berejiklian shock resignation last Friday after ICAC announced she was under investigation for corruption.
Deputy Premier John Barrallio also offered his resignation yesterday stating her want enter the private sector.
The 46th Premier of NSW first agenda will be to bring forward the opening of NSW as soon as Friday from Covid Lockdowns that has brought the state to a standstill.
Dominic Perrottet is set to be officially sworn is at 2pm this afternoon.
