This morning at 7:30am multiple emergency services responded to reports of an aircraft crash in the Hebden area.
Police, Ambulance, RFS and FRNSW crews were dispatched to look for the downed aircraft.
On arrival emergency crews found a small recreational aircraft on the ground but luckily the pilot didn’t sustain any injuries and walked away from the crash scene.
Before releasing the aircraft to the recovery team a FRNSW hazmat unit decanted the remaining fuel
to make the area safe while the Edinglassie crew provided fire protection during the operation.
