A 22-year-old male is wanted for questioning in relation to an alleged attempted Robbery with wounding on Friday in Rutherford. The man has attended the victim’s location and had a discussion with him about the victims motor bike.
A short time later the victim started up the motor bike for the male who has then hit the victim to the back of the head with an unknown object, the victim stunned , has begun to fight with the male who has then produced a knife and stabbed the victim behind his ear.
The victim’s pregnant fiancé has heard the commotion has entered the garage to see what was happening and sighted the male with the victim in a head lock on the garage floor. The witness has picked up the knife that was on the floor of the garage and used it on the male in order to cease the attack. The male has decamped on foot.
Police and Ambulance were in attendance and the victim was conveyed to hospital. Enquiries are continuing
