  • If you are in the area of Yengo, Wollombi and Laguna, if your plan is to leave or you’re not prepared, leave now towards Cessnock.
  • If you are in the areas of Stockyard Creek or Paynes Crossing, monitor conditions. Know what you will do if the fire threatens. Leaving early is the safest option for your survival.
  • Well prepared homes that are actively defended can provide safety. Only stay if you are physically and mentally prepared to defend in these conditions.
  • If you are not prepared, leave early in the day.

Strongs winds forcast for tommorow has put Hunter Valley Resident’s on high alert, winds gusts of 90kmph could see a number of fires burning in the Yengo National Park are expeted to continue moving in an easterly direction, the fires could reach the townships of Stockyard Creek, Paynes Crossing, Laguna and Wollombi

If you live in any of these area’s you must have your fire plan ready NOW!!! Leaving early is the safest option

With wind gusts of 90km per hour we could see spots fires thst are likely to advance the speed of the fire, we can expect to see spotting 15km to 25km ahead of the main fire.

A servere Thunderstorm warning has also just been forcast for the area expect to hit somtime in the few hours, and with what we have already seen this year thinderstorms are producing lots of lighting and patchy rain.

We can expect to see new fires starting in the Hunter region as a result.
