Seven Teens Arrested After Central Coast Vehicle Theft Incident

In a predawn operation today, seven teenagers were apprehended following the theft of three vehicles and a dramatic police pursuit on the Central Coast.

Around 2:30 am this morning, officers from the Brisbane Water Police District intervened to halt three stolen vehicles—a Mercedes, BMW X5, and Porsche—suspected to be taken from St Hubert Island.

A tense confrontation unfolded when the BMW reportedly rammed a police car, resulting in the arrest of two individuals. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the altercation.

Subsequently, two individuals were observed exiting the Porsche and boarding the Mercedes, which then fled the scene, prompting a pursuit. However, the chase was terminated due to hazardous driving behavior.

The fleeing vehicle was later spotted heading southbound on the M1 Motorway towards Sydney. After traversing the Old Pacific Highway and the Great Western Highway, the pursuit concluded near Toongabbie Road in Toongabbie, with the arrest of five additional teenagers.

All seven individuals are currently in custody, assisting authorities with their inquiries. Detectives from the Brisbane Water Police District have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information, dashcam footage, or CCTV recordings to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000. Stay tuned for further updates as the investigation unfolds.
