Teenagers Allegedly Involved in Motorbike Rampage and Theft Attempt

MHV News Update: Teenagers Allegedly Involved in Motorbike Rampage and Theft Attempt

In a recent incident, two teenagers, aged 13 and 14, have been accused of embarking on a motorbike rampage around Lake Macquarie, culminating in an attempted theft at Redhead. According to police reports, the duo allegedly rode a stolen bike as they targeted a 69-year-old woman walking along Owens Walkway at Redhead last Monday.

The woman managed to thwart the attempted theft by retaining possession of her handbag, despite the teenagers’ efforts. The stolen motorbike, reportedly taken from Newcastle, had been sighted multiple times around the Lake area.

Following their apprehension, the two teenagers have been remanded and are scheduled to appear in a children’s court next Monday. They face charges including theft, stealing, and riding counts.
