Terrifying Kidnapping Horror Unfolds in North Parramatta!

In a recent development, detectives have pressed charges against three men and one woman in connection with an alleged kidnapping incident in North Parramatta. The incident, which occurred last week, prompted a swift response from law enforcement.

Initiating action in February 2024, officers from the State Crime Command Robbery and Serious Crime Squad launched Strike Force Sweater to probe the reported abduction of a 33-year-old male.

In a coordinated effort, a significant police operation unfolded on Webb Street, North Parramatta, around 9:40 pm on Saturday, February 24, 2024. During this operation, authorities discovered the victim, aged 33, confined within a property, suffering from severe facial, body, and leg injuries. He received immediate medical attention at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition.

Subsequently, law enforcement personnel apprehended three individuals at the residence, comprising two men aged 40 and 44, alongside a 38-year-old woman. A thorough search of the premises yielded illicit substances, ammunition, electronic devices, and suspected kidnapping paraphernalia, all of which were seized for forensic analysis.

Formal charges of “take or detain in company with intent to get advantage occasioning actual bodily harm” and “participate criminal group contribute criminal activity” were leveled against the trio. They were denied bail and arraigned before Parramatta Local Court, with varying court dates assigned.

In a recent development, following additional investigations under Strike Force Sweater, specialized officers executed a crime scene warrant, leading to the arrest of a 20-year-old man at a unit complex in Lidcombe. He faces similar charges as his counterparts and was remanded in custody pending a court appearance before Burwood Local Court.
