PORT STEPHENS COVID-19 UPDATE – 29 July 2020
HNE Health officials confirm that there are two new cases of COVID-19 in Port Stephens, a woman in her 30s and a woman in her 60s.
Both new cases are close contacts of the man in his 30s from the Port Stephens area, announced last week. They have both been isolating at home since they were identified as close contacts, so there is no ongoing risk of community transmission.
While there is no ongoing risk from these new cases, it has shown just how quickly the virus can spread.
