Off shore wind turbines only benefit investors not consumers writes One Nations Mark Watson

Chris Bowen Minister for climate and energy has to be dreaming, the jobs “created” by off shore turbines are heavily inflated, not to mention how much resources are required to produce these turbines, further more how much oil is required as a lubricant to keep these turbines operational. We are talking about thousands of litres per year per turbine, including the oil required to get maintenance ships to and from.

Off shore Turbines at a bare minimum are 2.5x more expensive than on land.

Then we have the busy shipping lanes exporting our coal, the same coal other countries are burning for their base load power.

This won’t bring our power bills down and it won’t do anything to effect global surface temperatures the slightest bit!

The best it will do is make a handful of investors wealthy and the every day battler worse off.
