Newcastle City Police are appealing for information and witnesses in relation to a serious assault that occurred in the early hours of Sunday 20 September 2020.
Between 11:30pm 19 September and 1:20am Sunday 20 September 2020, a Newcastle man was assaulted by a group of males on Maitland Road, Islington. From this he suffered serious facial injuries and was take to hospital for treatment. Police commenced an investigation and are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen the assault to come forward. In addition, any information regarding the offenders identity is also welcome.
Investigations to date reveal the assault took place on Maitland Road, Islington between George and Mary Street.
