P PLATER WITH A NEED FOR SPEED, NOW NEEDS AN OPAL CARD

At 3.08pm on 21/2/20 a 22 year old male p player was detected travelling north on the Pacific Highway at Eungai Creek at 152 kilometers an hour in a signposted 100 kilometers an hour zone.

At the time he was also not displaying P plates. He stated he had been travelling at this speed since Newcastle as he liked to drive fast.

He was issued fines for exceed speed by more than 45kmh and not display P plates. Issued fines totalling $2750 and 8 demerit points. His licence was automatically suspended for a period of 6 months. Vehicle sanction provisions not applied due to not being the owner of the vehicle.
