Shots fired into vehicle at Bellbird

In the early hours of Wednesday 15th there was an incident involving a parked black Mitsubishi Triton in Ruby Street Bellbird.

The occupants of the house, where the vehicle was parked, were woken upon hearing a loud noise but did not investigate.

About 8.00am Hunter Valley Police were notified of damage to this vehicle, which was consistent with being caused by a discharge from a firearm.

Crime Scene Investigators were called and carried out an inspection and gathered evidence.

Police are continuing with their inquiries and urge anyone in the Community that may have information about this incident or any CCTV/ dash-cam footage in the area that may assist Police, to contact Cessnock Police station or Crime Stoppers.
