Gladys Berejiklians New Pub Rules

The Premier has announced that restrictions for Pubs in NSW will be tightened as of 𝐓𝐎𝐃𝐀𝐘.

➡️ Pubs will be limited to a maximum of 300 people or 1 person per 4 square metre, whichever is the lesser.

➡️ Bookings and tables at venues will be restricted to 10 people.

➡️ Venues will have a COVID-safe hygiene person on-site during peak times to ensure compliance with social distancing and gathering rules.

➡️ Stricter controls around providing details will also be in place.

➡️ Pubs will be required to download and register their COVID-safe plan with Service NSW by 12:01am Friday. Pubs who have registered their plans will display the COVID Safe Logo.

Compliance checking will be increase by Hunter Valley Police District Newcastle City Police District, Lake Macquarie Police District Port Stephens Hunter Police District

The reintroduction of restrictions comes as the Crossroads Hotel in Casula in Sydney’s south-west has been linked to 21 Covid-19 cases. As well as reports of several venues not following restrictions and social distancing.
