A female driver lost control of her vehicle and went down an embankment stopping meters from ending up in a creek near Wollombi around 7am this morning.
Emergency services including Cessnock District Rescue Service were called to stabilise the vehicle before the lady could be extracted from the vehicle and brought back up the embankment to a waiting ambulance.
At this stage we do not know if the lady sustained any serious injuries.
