Police are investigating following a two-vehicle fatal crash in the Hunter region today. About 10am (Saturday 11 December 2021), emergency services were called to the Golden Highway at Wyoming Road, Cassilis – about 30km south west of Merriwa – following reports a Hyundai SUV travelling west and a Toyota Landcruiser travelling east had collided. NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the female driver and sole occupant of the Hyundai, but she died at the scene.
