Police responded to reports of man attempting to break into a local business on Brunker Rd, Adamstown just before midnight last night. Police received an excellent description from the caller and soon located the male. He was carrying a screwdriver and refused to drop it when told to. The man allegedly walked towards the officers with the screwdriver, Police quickly deployed a Taser and arrested the man. The man was taken to the Newcastle Police Station for charging and has been bail refused to appear in court....
