Newcastle Transport has launched an authorised officers team to assist customers and ensure everyone is paying the correct fare when travelling on public transport. The new team is based in Newcastle and can be found on buses, ferries and light rail, providing travel assistance and answering any public transport questions. The officers are also responsible for checking tickets and educating customers about the importance of always travelling with a valid ticket.
