Emergency responders from Cessnock VRA were activated at 18:04 to a motor vehicle collision on Wine Country Drive, Pokolbin. The vehicle had veered off the road, coming to a halt among trees. Upon arrival, the occupant was still inside the vehicle. While NSW Ambulance provided initial treatment, VRA volunteers worked on stabilizing the vehicle. Faced with obstructed doors due to trees, a decision was made to extricate the casualty through the rear hatch.
