In a bid to expand its presence in the Newcastle area, Hungry Jack’s has submitted a development application (DA) for a new restaurant in Wallsend. Following the closure of its Jesmond location last year, the fast-food chain is eyeing a prime spot next to the Salvos store. The proposed restaurant, expected to cost over $2.5 million, will be built from the ground up at the intersection of Douglas Street.
