Construction of the long-awaited Singleton bypass has officially begun. Once completed, the bypass is expected to greatly reduce traffic congestion, diverting 15,000 vehicles daily from Singleton’s CBD.
An artist’s impression offers a first glimpse of the project, highlighting the significant infrastructure changes on the horizon. The Australian and NSW Labor governments have committed $700 million to bring this project to life.
Local leaders, including NSW Hunter Minister Yasmin Catley MP, Federal Member for Hunter Dan Repacholi MP, and NSW Labor’s Upper Hunter spokesperson Emily Suvaal, joined for a sod-turning ceremony to mark this major milestone.
