
House Fire at Gilleston Heights: Pets and Vintage Bikes Rescued
Emergency services were called to a house fire in Gilleston Heights shortly after 5 AM this morning. The two-story home was engulfed in flames upon arrival, but fortunately, all residents had self-evacuated. Crews were met with concerns for pets still inside the home. Firefighters successfully rescued a cat and a dog, bringing relief to the residents. In addition, vintage motorbikes and a car were saved from the garage. Neighboring homes were safeguarded by firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus, preventing the fire from spreading further.
