A major police operation is underway on the NSW Central Coast after officers opened fire during a dramatic confrontation in San Remo early this morning. Around 5am today (Thursday, 17 July 2025), police were called to Goorama Avenue, San Remo, following reports of a man armed with a knife standing in the middle of the street.
