A man has died following a shark attack at Long Reef this morning.
Emergency services, including NSW Police Marine Area Command, Surf Life Saving NSW, and NSW Ambulance, rushed to the scene after the man was pulled from the water with critical injuries. Members of the public and lifeguards also tried to assist before paramedics confirmed the tragic outcome.
Lifesaver 22, police, water police and surf lifesavers are currently clearing the area, conducting patrols and advising the public to stay out of the water.
Authorities are urging everyone in the area to follow safety directions immediately ⚠️.
