A man in his 30s has been rushed to hospital with serious head injuries following a motorcycle crash in Muswellbrook on Friday afternoon.
Emergency services were called just after 4:30pm on March 27, with NSW Ambulance requesting urgent aerial support from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
Initial reports indicate the rider sustained significant head injuries in the crash. Paramedics treated the man at the scene before specialist critical care staff from the helicopter — including a NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and a NSW Health doctor — took over.
He was then airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.
The cause of the crash has not yet been confirmed.
