
E-Bike Rider Injured in Terrigal Crash, Driver Arrested
Police have launched an investigation following a crash involving a car and a 21-year-old e-bike rider on the Central Coast this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Terrigal Drive and Brunswick Road, Terrigal, just before 3.00pm after reports of a collision.
The rider was treated at the scene, while a 47-year-old man was arrested and taken to Gosford Police Station.
A crime scene has been established, with one eastbound lane of Terrigal Drive remaining closed as investigations continue.
Police believe the e-bike rider was part of a larger group seen travelling through the area earlier in the day. The group was first spotted around 1.00pm on Kings Avenue, Terrigal, before riding to the Erina Fair precinct and later returning along Terrigal Drive, arriving near the crash site about 2.40pm.
Investigators are urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage of the crash or the group’s movements, to come forward.
Information can be provided to Gosford Police Station or anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Members of the public can also upload footage through the NSW Police community portal as inquiries continue.
