Two Maitland Liberal Councillors Sally Halliday and Mitchell Griffin will be calling on Maitland Council to support a proposal for a gas power generator to be built at Kurri Kurri at the next ordinary meeting.On September 14, the Federal Government proposed the possibility of the generator at the old Kurri Kurri Smelter Site should the Liddell Coal Power Station not be replaced in 2023.
