
BREAKING: Female Rider Dies After Horror Three-Vehicle Crash in Hunter Valley
A woman has died following a serious three-vehicle crash in the Hunter Valley, with police now investigating the fatal collision.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Cessnock Road and Kemp Street at Neath, east of Cessnock, about 6.25pm on Friday (24 April 2026), after reports of a major crash involving two utilities and a motorcycle.
Police were told a red Nissan utility, a silver Ford utility, and a Triumph motorcycle collided at the scene.
The motorcycle rider — a 50-year-old woman — was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for severe leg injuries before being rushed to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition.
The drivers of the two utilities, aged 21 and 57, were uninjured and taken to Cessnock Hospital for mandatory testing.
Tragically, police confirmed the woman died in hospital about 3pm today (Saturday 25 April 2026).
A report will be prepared for the Coroner as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
