Update: At 3:25 PM this afternoon, the Cessnock Volunteer Rescue Association (VRA) was activated in response to a motor vehicle collision at Pokolbin. Upon arrival, one individual remained inside one of the two vehicles involved, though they were not trapped. Medical personnel were already attending to the person.
As a precaution, VRA volunteers secured a restraint over the un-deployed airbag before assisting NSW Ambulance in safely extracting the individual from the vehicle. The occupants of both vehicles were assessed at the scene, with two being transported to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
