Medibanks’ CEO David Koczkar makes shock announcement that medibank will refuse to pay the hackers behind the data breach which has impacted 9.7 million Australians.
The CEO issued a statement that paying the hackers would only encourage criminals to engage in this illegal activity.
Last month unknown hackers stole Names, addresses, date of births, phone numbers and email address of 9.7 million Australians.
Customers are urged to be vilglent as the hackers may attempt to sell the hacked database or publish on the dark web.
