A brazen attempted dog theft has been reported after a trespasser unlawfully entered a local property and tried to take a family pet.
The incident occurred yesterday when the Maryland homeowner received an alert from her security camera about activity in her yard. Upon reviewing the live footage, she discovered a woman attempting to take her dog. Using the camera’s microphone, the homeowner immediately confronted the intruder, who dropped the dog and fled upon realizing she was being watched.
The suspect is described as a brunette woman, approximately 5’5” with a slender build. During the encounter, she allegedly posed as a representative of the Cancer Council. However, her intentions are now under serious scrutiny.
Residents are urged to remain cautious, secure their properties, and report any suspicious behavior to the authorities. Police are investigating the matter, but a front-facing image of the suspect is not available at this time.
