Maitland's Paralympic Hero Lauren Parker Set to Compete in Paris 2024
Maitland’s own Lauren Parker, hailing from Chisholm, is gearing up to represent Australia at the 2024 Paralympics in Paris. Parker will compete in both the Para-triathlon and Para-cycling events (Road Race & Individual Time Trial). A seasoned athlete, she has already made her mark on the world stage, including winning a silver medal in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics during her debut.
As the reigning world champion in the women’s PTWC category, Parker is no stranger to success. In 2018, she claimed a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games and has consistently reached the podium in international competitions ever since.
Maitland is cheering her on as she heads to Paris, wishing her the best of luck. All eyes will be on Lauren as she takes to the track and road, ready to bring home more glory. Go, Lauren! #AusParalympics #Austriaathlon
