A 26-year-old man has been charged with multiple traffic and drug offences after being stopped by police in Bonnells Bay over the weekend.
At approximately 12:20 a.m. on Saturday, 2 November 2024, officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command reportedly observed the man driving a white Holden Commodore on Fishery Point Road. A roadside drug test reportedly returned a positive result, and a search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered methylamphetamine and a knife.
The man was arrested and taken to Toronto Police Station, where he was charged with:
- Operating a vehicle causing loss of traction
- Driving while disqualified
- Supplying a prohibited drug
- Possessing a prohibited drug
- Custody of a knife in a public place
He was refused bail and is set to appear in Toronto Local Court today, Tuesday, 5 November 2024.
