At approximately 8:30 AM on Monday, January 6, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched by NSW Ambulance to a rural property in Congewai, southwest of Cessnock, following reports of a motorbike accident.
A man in his 80s sustained multiple injuries after falling from his motorbike. He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.
Authorities have not provided further updates on the man’s condition.
