Drug Arrest in Merewether
On the morning of Sunday, 20 October 2024, at around 9:30 AM, police discovered a 40-year-old man slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle on Ocean Street, Merewether. After conducting several inquiries and searching the vehicle, officers found 21 grams of cocaine, 28 grams of methylamphetamine, a knife, and a stolen number plate.
The man was arrested and taken to Newcastle Police Station, where he was charged with multiple offences. He has been refused bail and will remain in custody until his court appearance on 24 October 2024.
