Motorists traveling on the New England Highway between Maitland and Beresfield should be prepared for changed overnight traffic conditions this week as Transport for NSW undertakes essential maintenance work on several bridges along the route.
Starting Tuesday, 20 August, one lane will be closed at a time between High Street, Maitland, and Weakleys Drive, Beresfield, as work progresses through various areas. These closures will occur between 7 pm and 5 am, Monday to Thursday, for up to four weeks, weather permitting.
To ensure the safety of both workers and motorists, traffic control measures will be in place, including a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h. Drivers are urged to adhere to these speed limits, follow signs, and obey traffic control personnel.
